The city of Levallois-Perret, renowned for its dynamism and commitment to modern urban solutions, is taking a new step towards optimizing its urban management. In collaboration with our innovative startup, we are launching a pioneering project: a real-time observatory of delivery spaces. This project aims to transform the way deliveries are managed, offering significant benefits to all city stakeholders. For a reminder of the importance of urban logistics in local areas, watch this video proposed by Grand Paris.
How the deployed solution works
The system is designed to be both sophisticated and frugal. A real-time observatory has been set up and deployed using the Cocoparks solution, and here’s how it works:
- Real-time detection :
- Intelligent sensors continuously detect the presence or absence of vehicles in delivery bays. This information is instantly transmitted to a central platform.
- Data Analysis and Visualization :
- The platform analyzes the data collected and displays it in real time via an interface accessible to delivery drivers, retailers and the municipality.
- Optimization and planning of urban logistics :
- Thanks to artificial intelligence, the system makes recommendations to improve the management of delivery spaces, thus reducing waiting times and traffic jams.
Improved urban logistics: a positive impact for all stakeholders
The project brings considerable benefits to urban logistics at all levels
For delivery personnel :
Real-time access to information on available delivery spaces, reducing the time spent looking for parking and increasing delivery efficiency.
For retailers:
Better management of delivery flows, ensuring that products arrive on time without delays caused by parking difficulties.
For Residents :
Reduced traffic congestion and nuisance caused by delivery vehicles looking for parking spaces, improving the quality of urban life.
For the Municipality :
A powerful tool for urban planning, enabling parking infrastructures to be adjusted to actual needs and improving the management of public space.
Innovative project wins award at Salon des Maires et des Collectivités
Territorial innovation prize at the Salon des Maires
In addition to the immediate benefits for delivery management, this project contributes to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions. Less time spent searching for parking spaces means less fuel consumed and less pollution, bringing Levallois-Perret into line with sustainable development and smart city objectives.
That’s why this project has had such a high profile in France, winning awards at the Salon des Maires. A video describing the project can be seen here, on the hubinstitute website.
Presentation at Vivatech 2024
The underlying urban innovation is considerable, as it enables any delivery area to be connected in real time for a very low budget, while complying with the RGPD. This made-in-France innovation from Cocoparks was presented at Europe’s biggest technology show, Vivatech 2024, at the Greater Paris Innovation Hub.
In short: connected urban logistics is within reach
The implementation of this real-time observatory of delivery spaces in Levallois-Perret represents a major step forward in modern urban management. By combining cutting-edge technology with economic pragmatism, we offer a solution that benefits everyone involved in the city. This project is not only a technological innovation, but also a step towards a more efficient, sustainable and pleasant city.
